Dr Karsten Hoppe and Vanessa Hellwing become members of the Viessmann Climate Solutions Executive Board

Allendorf (Eder), Sep 15, 2022  – The Board of Directors of Viessmann Climate Solutions, one of the world's leading suppliers of sustainable climate (heating, cooling, water and air quality) and renewable energy solutions, has appointed Dr Karsten Hoppe as its new Chief Sales Officer (CSO) and a member of the five-member Executive Board, effective as of October 15, 2022. In his new role, Hoppe will oversee the sales, service and marketing activities of the Viessmann Group's largest business area, Viessmann Climate Solutions. He succeeds Thomas Heim, who now has overall responsibility for the largest business area as CEO Viessmann Climate Solutions and is fully focusing on the business area's transition roadmap, in light of the ongoing energy transition from fossil fuels to renewable energies.

Hoppe holds a PhD in business and a diploma in industrial engineering and has decades of sales, service and marketing experience, both on the board of international construction and industrial companies and as a consultant.

As the family-owned company had already announced in June, Vanessa Hellwing will also be joining the Executive Board of Viessmann Climate Solutions alongside Dr Karsten Hoppe. Dr Ulrich Hüllmann will hand over his business area responsibilities to Vanessa Hellwing as the new CFO of Viessmann Climate Solutions as of October 1, 2022. She has more than 20 years of experience in controlling and finance at global industrial companies, the majority of which in board and management positions.

The leadership team of five for the Group's largest business unit had been formed around Thomas Heim (CEO), Frauke von Polier (CPO) and Dr Markus Klausner (CTO) as a result of Maximilian Viessmann shifting his focus to his role as sole CEO of the Viessmann Group on July 1, 2022.
