Apprenticeship and dual studies program at Viessmann: apprentices provide insights into their working environment

Starting right away, you can apply online to Viessmann for an apprenticeship or the dual studies program from 2021. Apprenticeships at Viessmann start every year in August. The family-owned company offers a wide range of apprenticeships and dual studies programs in the fields of production, design, logistics, data processing, and administration.

Allendorf (Eder), Jul 27, 2020 – Just in time for the start of the new apprenticeship season, apprentices from the globally active manufacturer of climate and energy solutions are giving insights into their working environment and explaining what they have learned during their time at Viessmann in a video they produced themselves. The young professionals were involved in the setup and concept of the video from the very beginning – after all, it was their initiative. The campaign was launched to get young, motivated people interested in the wide range of training opportunities at Viessmann.

The family-owned company attaches great importance to promoting individual strengths, goals, and talents. In addition to technical expertise, the apprentices and students acquire social skills – teamwork is a priority at Viessmann. Working together here is all about trust, reliability, and flexibility. Young talents are supported in excelling beyond expectations, as well as facing challenges together and with courage. With sustainable thinking and actions, they actively play a part in creating the living spaces for generations to come – from a comfortable home to a planet worth living on. Training and education are important key skills at Viessmann to put the company purpose “We create living spaces for generations to come” into practice.

Dual studies programs combine theory and practice

The internationally recognized cooperative bachelor’s degree course at Viessmann combines important theory with exciting practice – in a total of nine business management and engineering subjects. The theoretical phases take place in cooperation with the University of Applied Sciences of Central Hesse, Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University, and Glauchau University of Cooperative Education. The practical phases offer the opportunity to apply and deepen the acquired knowledge while working on practical tasks and projects in the commercial and technical departments of the company. Practical projects can also be carried out in international Viessmann Group companies. Semesters abroad are also possible.

Commercial training in five professions

In five commercial apprenticeship trades, apprentices are given a deep insight into the business management procedures and processes of the family-owned company. Depending on the apprenticeship, qualifications focus on the areas of business management, logistics, IT, e-commerce, and foreign trade.

Wide range of technical apprenticeships

A solid technical qualification in a modern, forward-looking apprenticeship trade creates the foundation for a successful career in a technical environment. Viessmann offers apprentices the chance to build this foundation: with technical apprenticeships ranging from systems mechanic to toolmaker – in the fields of metal, electronics, mechatronics, product design, and refrigeration technology.
