Role model: My role model has always been my brother, Richard, because he’s a very determined person and puts 100% effort into everything he sets his mind to.

What's important to me:

Working hard to someday stand at the very top of the podium; developing a personality that people will remember in the future; and most importantly, leading a happy and healthy life.

Viessmann has already celebrated a lot of successes with athletes who I looked up to as a young girl. It means a lot to me to be part of this family. With their excellent support, I hope to reach the top ranks.

Career

Selina grows up in a family of ski jumpers: her father Holger is a former ski jumper and her brother Richard is himself active in the sport. At just six years old, Selina also discovers her love for ski jumping. She gets her first international experience in the Alpencup, FIS Cup and Continental Cup, and she lands in an impressive fourth place with the team at her first Junior World Cup in 2018, in Kandersteg, Switzerland. Just a year later, she secures her first victory at the Continental Cup and celebrates the team silver medal and the mixed team bronze at the Junior World Championships in Lahti, Finland. Selina makes her World Cup debut in 2019 and qualifies for the Junior World Ski Championships in Oberwiesenthal in 2020. She celebrates a bronze medal in the team competition right outside her hometown. In the following years she becomes a permanent part of the World Cup team and in 2022 she participates in the Olympic Games for the first time in her career.
