Birthday: 11/8/1994
Profession: Armed forces athlete

Hobbies: Slacklining, ski touring, skiing, racing bike, MTB, gravel bike. I like pretty much anything that has to do with cycling – I also enjoy watching the pros.
Role model: I can’t think of a single individual I would call my role model. But of course, I’ve learned a lot from some amazing people. What's important to me: Spending time with my family and my girlfriend is very important to me. I am thankful that we are all alive and well, and I hope we will remain so for a very, very long time.
At only four years old, Philipp tries cross-country skiing in his home club SV Eintracht Frankenhain; just a few years later he also starts biathlon training. After graduating from high school in 2014, he joins the sports training group of the German Armed Forces. Starting in 2018, Philipp trains with the World Cup team in Oberhof, making his World Cup debut at Pokljuka in the 2018/19 season, where he finishes seventh with the mixed relay team. At the World Cup 2020 in Antholz, he and his team members win the bronze medal in the relay competition.
