What's important to me: Making my purchases as sustainable and local as possible to reduce logistics routes and to support German companies. Although this might only be a small contribution to environmental protection, this is where I would like to start.
Franziska starts cross-country skiing training at the age of five and switches to biathlon seven years later. In 2005, she gets her first experience in youth competitions and advances to the DSV C squad. Five years after that, she wins the overall ranking of the IBU Cup, which allows her to compete in the World Cup for the first time the following season. In 2012, she celebrates her first World Cup victory with the relay team in Antholz. After the 2014 Olympic Winter Games in Sochi, where she takes no medals, Franziska becomes world champion in 2015 with the relay team in Kontiolahti. In the following season, she makes her first World Cup victory in sprint in Ruhpolding and secures the red jersey with another sprint victory. At the 2017 World Cup in Hochfilzen, she again wins the gold medal in the relay competition. In 2018 she competes at the Olympic Games in PyeongChang. After two difficult years, Franziska fights her way back into the World Cup team in 2021/22 and is already celebrating top-10 results again.
