Professional skills and consulting expertise are needed now more than ever. The Viessmann Academy ensures employees and partner companies are provided with qualifications – in its our own training rooms in Allendorf (Eder), on site in the sales branches, or on the Internet with online learning opportunities.
Digitalization does not just stop at heating technology. On an almost daily basis, fitters and service staff from the relevant specialist companies hear their customers say: “I found out about the Vitovalor PT2 online” or “We want to connect the boiler in our vacation home to the digital network”. Consumers are generally better informed than they were just a few years ago because of the Internet. Their wishes concerning climate and energy systems are thus also manifold. Of course, current hot topics such as networking, intelligent control, and smart homes are playing an increasingly important for consumers. One thing is clear: the technical scope is becoming more complex and the product range broader. Oil and gas heating systems, heat pumps, bioenergy, solar thermal energy, photovoltaics, combined heat and power, and air conditioning technology offer individual solutions in all areas of application – and require a high level of consulting expertise.
Demands for all market partners in the heating market to be qualified are thereby increasing, and further training, the transfer of knowledge, and the rapid processing of information are becoming more and more important. Employees and partners need to be familiar with a wide range of products, know how to combine these products into systems, and be acquainted with their networking options and all the associated digital services.
The Viessmann Academy provides both our own employees and those of our partners with the relevant know-how in seminars, courses, and workshops – and has been doing so since the 1960s. Since 2013, all of our German training locations have been certified by TÜV SÜD in accordance with DIN ISO 29990 and therefore comply with the high standards for learning services. We were the first certified academy in the entire industry. Individuals who partake in the many very different seminars and courses we offer at the Academy take control of their own learning journey and professional development. No matter if they learn on site or through digital means, the Viessmann Academy brings everything together and offers tailor-made content to prepare participants for the future. “We are the Viessmann Group’s central training center for employees and customers,” says Academy Director Stefan Hoffmann. “We see great potential for growth in every employee – and the Academy lets us ensure every participant taps into this.”
The Viessmann Academy does not only provide its employees with further training, it also guides the company’s partners and ensures their employees are qualified with a variety of learning opportunities. The Viessmann Academy is thus able to support the future of partner companies. The Viessmann Academy is increasingly using digital means to impart educational content. All content is combined on the “Lernraum” platform based on the target group. It even offers individual learning journeys. Participants can access them everywhere and at all times when needed. Course materials are available in a download center. Many workshops are carried out interactively on the learning platform. Additional support is provided by content-relevant videos and lecture series.
Learning content taught in person, however, is kept short and compact, both theoretically and through practical exercises. Participants in these courses therefore interactively tackle practical case studies in small groups and using equipment. All seminar locations are outfitted with a variety of products, models, and supporting media technology. We teach how to use our planning and operating instructions and our digital tools from practical experience for practical use.
The Academy’s training concept keeps evolving, and new learning methods are quickly established. As a result, BarCamps now take place on a regular basis: within a short period, participants can learn about a broad array of topics from the world of Viessmann at various stations and exchange ideas with contact persons. New employees are also brought aboard during interactive Welcome Days – which includes “speed dating” for exchanging ideas with management. They get to know the company and key contact persons within a very short space of time.
This combined learning world of digital and analog formats is not only extremely efficient, but it also boosts the personal motivation of the participants. “We see ourselves as networkers,” says Stefan Hoffmann. “Learning is increasingly happening in networks.”
Viessmann is one of the world's leading energy system manufacturers. Vast experience and the integrated offer of solutions provide the basis for a broad foundation of knowledge. The Viessmann Academy is a multiplier for disseminating training content: charts, trainer guides, educational videos, and other material are created and also prepared for international training sessions as soon as new products are launched. For one simple reason: every year, the Viessmann Academy trains 90000 participants, approx. two-thirds of whom come from abroad.
The Viessmann Academy and all German training locations were certified by TÜV SÜD in accordance with DIN ISO 29990 in 2013 and meet the high service standard for learning services as well as the requirements for a consistent quality management system in education and training. Participants can therefore expect extensive, practice-oriented know-how of superior, proven quality.
